While realizing that this is the first Article / Blog written for Christian Wisconsin I thought I would take the opportunity to describe just how this whole thing got started. Here it goes... 

About four years ago I became serious about the position Christ wanted to have in my life, which is by far first place. I was blessed to get a job for a tourism advertising company as a web developer and site editor in Wisconsin Dells.  It was a great experience and I can still say that I love and miss many of my former co-workers. The job itself was challenging and I learned a lot of things about the web that I would of never even thought of.  

About 9 months into the job I arrived at work just like any other day that I was there.  Some of my normal duties  included updating sites, working on latest projects that I was assigned, and also updating one of the companie's top tourism websites that dealt with listings of various interests from around Wisconsin. While working on this site I was taking some time and praying to God in Christ's name asking what exactly was I doing all this work for. Now I would have been content to continue working there and tithing my paycheck along with giving to various Christian causes in the form of offerings. I know it may sound cheesy but I just knew I was going to do something else.

In that moment an idea came to me to build my own site as a massive online resource for Christianity in Wisconsin. All the various features and qualities the site would have came rushing to me in an instant and I wrote each one down as fast as I could.

How was I to build such a site? This was the question that quickly became a problem for me. About 3 months later I left my job and began working for a minsiter of the gospel and for his ministry which used offerings to feed starving kids in Honduras.  I traveled with him from church to church all around the mid-west driving about 1800 miles a week. In that time I slept in every known place and position you could imagine.

As I built his site and sites for other Christian ministries and organizations I started to learn more about what and how I would need to do things in order to build a site like Christian Wisconsin. Now over 3 years later this site is launched and I can only pray that it does what God wants it to and not what I want it to.

To Wisconsin: I hope and pray in Christ's name that this site becomes a blessing.
